I'm curious if anyone regrets some of their picks in this draft. I had a tendency to try to undercut in the early rounds to grab guys that wouldn't get immediately blocked. This may have resulted in me just accumulating an underwhelming team.
Babe Herman with pick 6.2 constrained me in ways I didn't anticipate. I had tried to take Bagwell that round, then felt I could wait a while for a 1B and be fine. But I already had a few pitchers and wanted a big impact bat. However, I already had taken Willie Keeler, who had to play a corner OF, and then taking Herman locked me in at two corner OF spots. Later I passed up players I happily would have used at the corners. I think I would have been better off grabbing a better infielder at that stage while more really good options were available. It's just not as hard to find a great hitter to stick in RF, as I was reminded round after round. Herman better hit a ton. That's all I can say.
