how do you figure? seems like pretty many joined up, to me. the chatter died down as the deadline to grab a school passed, but that is to be expected, i think.

i meant the chatting....I expected that this world would be really active in posting

Don't know how I missed this thread. I'v ebeen looking for some new HD thrills. Count me in.

I was in Rupp a long time ago for just 2 seasons, but I'm eligible to reserve an open team in D-II now for next season.

Short of scouting every team and conference, who wants to give me an idea of a decent team/conference for next season? I already moved a couple of seasons to Rupp and am ready to go.

The chatter is all that's died, most of us that could get DII got lousy teams so it'll be a season or two until we're really going, and several of the Vets who will be making this alot of fun had to start at DIII and simply aren't even at their team yet... others are waiting until next season to start even at DIII.

Next season will be much closer to the real deal and the season after that we should be in full swing. This is actually "Mega-Bowl 2/10" as it will really be in full swing about the end of the year. I, (as well as several others I am sure), have basically put my DII team on auto-pilot, as their's just not alot I can do with 8 scholarship players,,, 5 of which we really can't wait to see graduate.

As the end of this season in Rupp draws near and we get ready for the roll-over, several of us will be back here to be sure anyone interested, who reads the forums, knows they're invited...

I know it's still a few weeks off, but the Sunshine State conference is 8th in conference RPI with 3 SIM teams weighing us down. If any of you can move up after 1 year, look at the SSC after the season!!

it's been a long time since i've tried to move up-- am i going to be able to after just one season in d3? team is doing fine... will probably make the PIT and win 18 or so games.

yea josh. not a issue. all you need is a season in DIII and a pulse

this nails it. i think its going really well personally, a ton of people are interested, and many have picked up teams already. the auto-pilot thing is dead on too, its probably a solid half of the new d2 people, there's not much reason to work for that extra win or two when you are missing the post season anyway.

I'm plugging along at DIII, waiting to move up...might even make the PT with Mount Union

thanks marko. i've got both.

I have a D3 team, but I'm doing terribly (150 rpi or something) because I have like 5 or 6 freshman. In the past I have had trouble getting D2 jobs, even low level ones, after one average or poor year at D3. The jobs that said I was qualified for I could not even get.

Just finish strong aejones you have a shot of moving up to d2. If i had a team in rupp i would join the power conf pretty good conf.

i think i remember it being mentioned before. but gotta repeat. cuz it sucks, but its kinda funny too...

this is going to really, really, really suck for high prestige DIII schools in Rupp. Smarter recruiters in DII and when things run dry there, they will just drop down and scoop up a good recruit that an A+ DIII school is in the process of signing. going to **** some folks off...

kinda like in HBD. when you've got a great AA coach locked up and think he's about to sign. Then some goofball gives him a AAA job. Faaak, i hate that. Gonna be lots of venting going on in Rupp DIII. (break out the coors light)
