Would winning % put the best 12 in the NL and the worst 12 in the AL? Or maintain league setup and divide each group of 12 by %? Makes a big difference.

The actual teams that have made the playoffs over the past seven years has varied; however the owners that have made the playoffs has not - it seems to be the same cast of characters. Maybe divisions set by a combo of franchise winning % and owner winning %

But with options presented i'll go with pure chaos and randomize the divisions after owners have picked a team but before the drafting begins.

Also, maybe the 6 division winners can select their division - gives the playoff teams some perk. World series winner, runner up then go by record for selection choice.

I think simplicity is much better in a theme like this. I'm always down for more complex rules like that but I'd prefer to keep it for themes that are meant to be complex from top to bottom.
