is it possible to change my pick, or do I have to stick with that one?  I just realized I could get someone else

i thought the team I wanted the guy from was off the board, if I can't no biggie

Sent you a sitemail.  If you're going to change it, do it quickly.  I was just about to send out the league number.

Ok, sorry, I will select - SS - Miguel Tejeda - Orioles, sorry about that

Page one has been updated to reflect pini's changed pick.  And with that, we're done.  League number coming shortly.

Regarding Mariano Rivera, I thought about taking him and completing my Yankees trifecta, but I've never had Rivera succeed in the sim... in another league a while back, I had to moved Rivera and his 6.89 ERA from closer to mopup.

Tim Burke does so much better for me in the sim.
I thought for sure that you were going to take him and I had hoped Papelbon fell to me so I could repay the favor!

And so ends the first draft in which the Yankees did *not* have 6 players drafted.

possibly the Astros too, I know they usually have at least 5 players drafted

Naw. Yankees were the only ones with six per.  I posted stats during this draft -- see page 9 of the thread.  Astros had averaged just over 5 taken per draft, so this leg's 4 is below average.

I was so certain Kent would be taken, I had Robbie Thompson warming up in the bullpen.

Trevor Hoffman went undrafted. all closers went later than normal.

That crossed my mind (if I took Rivera, you'd take Papelbon)... which is another reason I didn't take Rivera.  That being said, had you left Bernie Williams unprotected going into round 3, I would've grabbed him for sure.

And maybe J.J. Putz (2nd round).  It was a slow draft for relief pitching overall, though.  Can't ever remember Hoffman going undrafted if not protected.
