Hey, a debate! if he's weaker than my relievers then more IP isn't necessarily a good thing.

I haven't used either very often, and don't think I've ever used Bosman, but looking at some normalized numbers, which of these pitchers would you prefer:

A: 174 ERC+, 165 HR/9+, 112 OAV+
B: 176 ERC+, 171 HR/9+, 108 OAV+

Pretty close, right?  But pitcher B has 80 more IP.  That's Peterson, so that's who I'd take if I were looking for a starter in a 4-man rotation.  But for a five-man rotation, either would be fine. 

A lot of Seattle fans seem to think that Dan Wilson at his peak was as good as catching gets.  This season I'm glad to give them a chance to reevaluate that position:

Thanks for the endorsement.  It seemed pretty good to me, but being new around here I wasn't sure.

Fisk is usually very serviceable here...and a pretty big upgrade over Dan Wilson. Gotta love Mariners fans.

On the Fritz/Bosman debate, we've used both to comparable and generally positive effect. That said, we recall Fritz being in the Cy Young debate in legs past and we don't think Bosman has ever got a lot of discussion at awards time.  Still, not a bad choice in our book.
