. . and yet again, you fail to address a single point or offer even a minuscule shred of proof. When all you can resort to is personal attacks, it rather makes it look like you have no legitimate argument.

still making excuses why you can't win?

i think i win enough these days and the game obviously agrees since it sends me home on the 2nd NT weekend consistently.

You seem to be confusing me with someone else in this thread. I don't see anywhere in the above posts where I complained about not being able to win against a press. My role in this thread was to point out that you came in here on your high horse to imply (yet again) that the press isn't magic yet you seem to be running that particular defense on all your teams (shocker), including the newest one that you had to convert to a press. I had no other agenda than that, except offering you a cookie in celebration of your exceptionally daring acknowledgement that you might (gasp) try the zone.

SO the fact that I happen to use it means I think its magical? Or does it just mean that I liek recruiting players that do well in it? You STILL have no point.

ANd what do you mean 'Had to convert'? I recruited nine out of twelve players on that team last year.

ANAnd why is someone saying the press ISN'T magic, somehow 'on a high horse' where someone coming in and snidely declaring that it IS isn't?

Pot meet kettle. . .

Add to that, that you seem to have me mistaken for someone who makes really frequent dissertations on the full court press with your 'yet again.'

mniven, apparently no matter what you say you can't win here. I guess you should just keep your vast knowledge of HD to yourself. a doesn't seem to care about anything one of the top coaches in HD has to say. His loss.

Ok. . . .

Sure.

I knew there was a reason that most discussions on the forum were apparently pointless - apparently being a succesful coach means noone is allowed to disagree with you on the statement of 'The press is magic'.

It's actually "NO ONE", but good try........

And it's official. The amazing streak of one particular coach getting into an argument in EVERY single thread he posts in continues. It's almost, well, unbelievable.......

lol..............passing and ball handling are crucial and high distros with the players with the best ratings in those areas

Just a first-class jackass.

I was hoping that when OR ripped him a new one a few weeks ago (I mean, come on, how big of a jackass do you have to be to get OR riled up like that?), that would serve as his cue to go away. Oh well.

I also don't feel it beneficial to tweak your distro a certain way vs. the press. I simply go with my strengths. Sometimes I will make a lineup change (i.e. if I have a team with a pf at sf, I might swap him out that game if I have a comparable alternative, etc.)
