Revocable waiver question Topic

I did a "40-man remove" as a separate transaction and got no error messages. Maybe it added him back when I waived him. My 40-man roster was at 34 earlier but it's back at 35 now.

Tec's right, unless the transaction deadline happened inbetween. If I were the team with the rightful claim, I'd be PO'ed.

I don't see why. He can get him for free now, would have had to trade for him previously.

He could "potentially" get him for free. Just because he won the last claim doesn't mean he would win the next one

Seems like "potentially" getting him is better than "not" getting him.

Another problem comes up when this happens (when you DFA instead of waiving, the guy gets claimed and ends up in unassignable-to-anywhere land) - when you try to trade him, he does NOT show up on the trades screens ('cause he's not assigned).

Select level "All" on the trade screen and he'll show up.

You might think that but you'd be wrong. Especially if "potentially" meant someone in my division getting him. The rules exist for a reason and equality has a lot to do with that. Me winning a waiver claim because 20 other teams decided they didn't want a guy if they had to trade for him is a lot different than a guy sitting on waivers with no strings attached. Those 20 teams ahead of me are more likely to take someone they don't have to trade for
