I'll take the 1994 Braves (.596, 8 twists) as my second team ... If I use http://www.baseball-reference.com/teams/, it seems like if I twist 5 pitchers (Glavine, Avery, Smoltz, Wohlers, and Olson) and 3 position players (Lopez, Pendleton, and Blauser) I may have a contender ...

Szczu: The 68 Tigers seem like a nice pick ... Their weaknesses in SS and 3B can be solved by moving Mickey Stanley from CF to SS and twisting 3B Eddie Mathews back to his glory days with the Milwaukee Braves. Al Kaline could be twisted to better days and play the OF. As for pitching- Pat Dobson, Jim Rooker, and Roy Face may be twisted to better days ...

Szczubelek: I'm about to start 2 new leagues (on top of the 6 I'm active now) ... A bit overextended if you consider work, chess, cigar club, writing by book on the Cuban Revolution, etc. ... I'll drop the 71 Orioles, but keep the 94 Braves ...

thanks matt!-they are yours

Nice to see you Matt! ... With a .444 W-L record, the 2000 Astros get unlimited twisting ... And they have a number of twistable candidates at the start or end of their careers (SP Dwight Gooden, 1B/OF Lance Berkman, 3B Ken Caminiti, and SS Julio Lugo been the most obvious choices for a twist) ...
