alot of sabermetric research says that batting order isn't all that important...

If you were trying to produce a batting order of projected highest OBP to projected lowest OBP, would you simply go from high BE to low BE, or would you try to come up with the highest average of CN/BE and splits?

Avg and Power 3rd

RBI and Power 4th

RBI and OPS 5th

6th OPS and OBA

7th Avg and OBP

Worst hitter 8th

I target about the same:

In the AL:

1. OBP first, SB second.

2. OBP

3. My best SPlit hitter typically

4. MY best Power hitter with a decent splits

5. My best pure power hitter

6. My best splits hitter that is if they have 60+ power. If less than 60, I go for pure power

7. Best power

8. Worst hitter

9. Try to make this my 2nd lead off guy, or a high SB with low OBP

An interesting, IMO, read from a Harvard stat nerd.

Here's another one I've seen.

Don't get stuck with a stereotypical lineup if your team is 33rd in scoring in a 32 team league, shuffle the deck chairs on the Titanic until your lineup works, even if it doesn't look right and everyone says it is wrong.
