I'm not surprised to see this guy give up homers. Besides generating a lot of walks, poor control also implies fat pitches within the strike zone, even for a groundball pitcher.

As far as 0 power hitters, I usually see fewer than 10 doubles from these guys and no homers. Still, I guess an occasional inside-the-parker would be possible in a high doubles-triples park against an outfield populated with low-range weak-arm guys. Also, he might pop one out of the park if facing a tired flyball pitcher in a +4 HR park, but I wouldn't bet on seeing more than one per career.

P.S. He's not much of a prospect, but could be worth using if your ML pitching is thin and you need an inning eating Long-B. Give him a year in AAA. If he can't get guys out at that level, he won't have a chance in the Bigs.

In spite of the above, I have seen guys like this have an occasional good ML year as SPs, but usually only one and certainly wouldn't bet on it.

I'd use him.

Yup. If he does have a good season or even part of a season, it might be an opportunity to trade him while his stock is at its highest.
