Lol, what? This is all about Quincy being the #1 overall seed in the NIT with a 12-16 record, 2-8 against the top 25, lost in the 2nd round of his CT. Referencing my website where I process the exact rankings that I'm purporting gives people proof examples...I would look foolish if I said my rankings did such and such, but people couldn't see them.

Good archive metsmax, while he won't accept my real life debate in the other forum he has to answer to this. Find a something like D3 Wooden or one that is relatively full and do the rankings with peoples help then.

I for one want to see this in HD instead of you giving real life examples and then shooting down the same RL examples I try to give just cause they don't fit with your world of thought.

I now know what you're talking about...sorry I had a bit of a brain fart and no I haven't set a format up yet...been sick and trying to put together my RL CBB rankings and arguing here, so the long and short of it is no...I hope to have something soon though.

Well stop arguing here and get the format up and show us. If you think your rankings are so great than your output of rankings will show us in the end.

You said you have 3 things so far that you need. So put down the list into an excel file and setup of a forum for it. You can either do tark which your in or we will do it in another world where we can get people to give you the info. A 2-game a day world would be the best but I understand since your not in it.

The truth of the matter is, everyone just wants to beat the colonel here, so any retort from me other than schroedess is right, billyg is right, zhawks is right, arssintheb is right, dalter is right, etc, or any combination of my system sucks, my system is illogical, my systems results are ridiculous, I haven't included X, Y, and Z therefore my system is flawed are INHERENTLY WRONG answers and these guys continue to kick and scream because I didn't say what they wanted to here, but what they fail to realize is that if you read my entire posts objectively, you will have seen that I've conceded points to others, that you guys have had good ideas, that you guys have made me really think about what I do...this seems to get lost in the tone and hatred of it all...so now everyone is just trying to 1 UP me and shut me up, and its a shame really.

I'm not saying my ranking system is perfect...no system is perfect...but please try to see it from my view...I've researched and done sports rankings for the last 6+ years from every possible angle imaginable, including and not including EVERYTHING that you guys have suggested, but just because you don't like what I've decided upon or accept my solid explanations for what I do as valid, and/or I don't include what you suggest because I've already been there, considered that and done that, you just want to continue to kick and scream and hate me for what I do then so be it. If I come off as a dick, its only because the folks trying to 1 UP and trump me are coming at me that exact same way.

Like I said, any answer other than "YOU'RE RIGHT" from me, is wrong to you guys.

FD was talking about the spreadsheet/database format that he had asked me to put together for people to reasonably submit their results to me so I could rank their teams per se. I tried and tried in the other forum to show you a real life example I will look for more that are like it later probably to see, but thats besides the point.

This is a put up or shut up thread. Either bring your rankings here and we will help you with the data or dont, but don't say we are trying to bash you.

This is a chance for you to show your system and how it would rank the HD world.

I've conceded long ago that you'll probably never see my rankings be official for HD...the main reason being I highly doubt that WIS would pay for the usage.

My rankings are going to rank the HD world virtually the same as it does in real life, thus in the mean time, if you want to know what my rankings DO SAY, then see what they've said. You guys aren't trying to bash me...now that's funny.

I have 3 different rating setups for HD...one of them is my real life format, thus you can see one of the setups already in action on my website...that's the point. The OTR SOS thing will be something you've never seen before.

Its not the same though!

Show us, were not asking it for the official HD rankings, we want you to show us. If they are so great WIS might actually pick them up sometime down the road, but you have to show us first.

Scoring and schedules in HD are much different than in real life. Schedules in WIS are usually one of two ways for actual players. Either you schedule all top tier teams only playing top 30 talent or you schedule all sims and play most games vs. 150+ RPI teams. This is not the same as real life where they always schedule a mix.

You just make excuses not to show us here on HD. If your so right than show it!

Colonels, what is the point of all these threads discussing your various formats? You acknowledge that WIS is not going to buy it so why don't you go peddle it to ESPN or Sporting News or some media outlet in Europe? You have been harping on your rankings on these threads since 2004. I can site the archives to prove it. If you are hoping to gain majority support for another sales pitch to WIS, it's not happening. If you believe that everyone here is against you and that you are beating your head against a wall then take that as a clue.

There are better keyboard systems than the QWERTY that never broke into the market. There are better automobile designs that can't break into the market. There are hundreds of examples of ideas that "may" be better but the status quo is too well established. Just accept the fact that your ranking system - however good you think it might be - is not selling here. Give up already will ya?

This is not intended as a personal attack. You are probably a good guy in person but the constant arguing, name calling, and sarcastic remarks are way past getting tired. Spend your energies on you tube or wherever. It will be time better spent in my opinion.
