Not a bad judge, falls in line with what I think.

An example I have is I took over an A prestige D2 school which dropped to A- when I took the jump, my first season I lost in the PI championship and maintained the A- prestige and the next 2 seasons I lost in the 1st round of the NT and also stayed at A- prestige.

Another example is I was at a C prestige D3 school and won the PI and got a bump to B- prestige. With another D3 school in a different world I had a C+ prestige and got the same 2 letter bump to a B after a Sweet 16 appearance. My end of year RPI was higher with PI champ than it was for the Sweet 16 team as I was a 13 or 14 seed.

So you are saying it is worth a 2nd round appearance?

Hi , everything carries some level of weight - winning the PIT is similiar to losing in the 2nd round of the NT and losing in the PIT championship would be similar to losing in the NT 1st round.

So dalt and I were exactly right by saying it was about as much as making the second round of the NT.
