But Player A has been tearing the cover off the ball for more than a season now. He is currently my backup 3B, SS, 2B, and CF and he spot starts at all 4 positions.
I value Player B's power and speed (I don't have a lot of speed on my current ML roster). Player B is in his 3rd year and is in HiA. I have $16m Adv scouting.
I'm wondering if I should trade B and sign A longterm? I'm not sure I have enough room on my roster for both, though the way A is playing I might have to try to make room somehow
Why would you let Player A go? There are very few SS-qualified players that can actually hit their weight. Arb him at least once, try to sign him long-term after that one season (after deciding whether you're trying to make the playoffs) or trade him during/after his one arb season if you're still 3-5 years away from being a contender.
