This is my 41st season at D2 Northeastern State in Tark. I would be more than a little upset if I were to find out that my team was being taken away from me.

They wouldn't take your team, they would move it lock, stock, and barrel to the new world (or the other people would be moved to yours).

The only problem you would have would be if you and someone else both had long term programs at NE St. and neither wanted to give it up. How many situations like that do you really think exists?

While I respect your sticking with a D2 long term, don't you think your experience would be greatly enhanced if you were playing in a full D2 world instead of the ghost towns that many D2 and D3 divisions are? Wouldn't that be worth a few minor hassles as things got moved around?

It's a terrible, terrible idea for obvious reasons and WIS would never even consider it for a nanosecond, nor should they. If I were to dream up the best possible way to anger long-time, loyal customers, this is probably what I would come up with.

If that's the best you can dream up, you have no imagination at all.

I agree that the D1 consolidation has a lot of issues but the D3,D2 consolidation would work. Whether they would spend the time doing it is another matter.

Don't make the mistake of assuming that this is my only ID. I have 4 other BCS teams, and while having a full conference is better, it's not life changing better.

Overall though, I would probably volunteer a couple of my other teams to consolidate into different worlds. There are just some coaches who have developed a personal attachment to their D2/D3 dynasties and would probably be more resistant to change, even as proposed by you guys.

I'm not advocating moving D1. That has too many issues that I can't see being overcome.

I looked at playing in D3 or D2 for an additional challenge and there were so few coaches in Smith (and I assume other worlds) that it didn't make sense. That's why it seems to be worth looking into consolidation of the worlds at the lower levels. Maybe you are lucky and have a lot of human coaches but most of the conferences I looked at were hardly populated at all. Good for running up the win total, not so good for a real challenge.

I'd move the D2, D3 dynasty teams over completely. Who can argue with that?

I'd willingly do it if I got to keep the same players. Some in conference competition sounds good to me instead of beating up on simmy over and over again. I would probably also want the choice to stay in the same conference too.

At least we can all agree we don't need to open any more worlds. We just need to do some marketing to get some more users and fill some worlds up.

Not positive, but I think Smith is the least populated world, so that may not be the best world to get an accurate portrayal. I agree though, something needs to be done. Better marketing of their product would probably be a good place to start............

That would result in worlds with about 50 total human coaches - I feel like that might anger coaches as much as (or even more than) closing the world outright.

Once you get bcs there won't be anything barren about it.
