That might be true but I still think that players have different thresholds. For instance, I had a pg last year who was a sophomore that was third on the depth chart and only received 4.6 minutes per game. I never received one complaint from him about playing time.

in real life kids want playing time.

I think there is some variation in those expectations - but I agree that they do not adequately reflect the depth chart - a SO who is sitting behind a very talented SR and a JR should expect less than a kid who is sitting behind a kid who is younger and no better than him.....etc

There are many, many, many times in real life when a soph is stuck behind better upperclassmen, and still po'd about lack of PT. It's hugely common. I don't think WIS's implementation of this is perfect, but I definitely don't think the notion is unrealistic.

fer sure daalter - I think some SOPHs should be bothered by that, and some should cope with it well......metsmax 2.0 remains convinced that he could run the point better than the kid who is a year older than him and gets a majority of the minutes, I'm working on building up his tolerance and keeping his WE up....middle school ball is so demanding.....

I haven't gotten a metsmax 2.0 update in awhile ... has Gary Williams made a formal offer yet?

alas, no - ya know these middle schoolers, they like other sports too and are distracted by soccer and lacrosse and stuff......need more practice minutes!

.....speaking of kids hoops, I'm also now coaching metsmax 2.1's team - younger girls - we are not very good.....well we didnt win a game in our inaugural season......but knowing that the press is all powerful I have in the last several weeks installing a vicious 1-2-2- press and they really like it.

we cant shoot, most of players cant dribble much, but its a very smart bunch of girls and I figure if we can learn to press we will at least make the games amusing

Pressing in 5th grade girls basketball? Is that even legal?

we could not run it last year, NOW we can......

......and we may go minus 5 and slowdown too....
