mmt I have seen it happen before. It actually happened to lm2 in season 12 of Phelan.

A lot of it has to do with the fact that there is a lot more parity in HD then real life and it makes it more possible. I understand why it happened and again, wasnt complaining that it did.

I don't think there is anything wrong with it happening, i don't see it happening so much that it is clearly out of whack. I dont think there is anything wrong with it either.

Was just shocked because I hadnt seen it before.
Yeah I didn't think you thought it was wrong, just putting in my two cents.

I bascially ignore him 90% of the time he posts, yet I am the stalker? Haven't we come to the realization that rational thinking and common sense are not two things that he possesses? He can continue to stalk me around the forums if he wants, I really hope he has better things to do, must be a pretty sad life.

Let's go cherrypick our way to the top mmt, never playing with our own players (and eventually losing with them)! Then maybe we can feel what its like to be the devil!

I'm almost ashamed to admit that I've lost as a 1 seed against a 16 seed (D2).

Perhaps the press is not magic?

It happened to my NY Tech team in Wooden D2 last season. We were 1 in RPI for about the last half of the season and then were the top 1 seed in the NT, I believe. And the 16 seed was a team with an RPI around 100 that only snuck in by winning their CT. Needless to say, I was ******.

It happened to me and Amherst in season 25 in Smith (D3). My opponent was Rutgers-Camden, and their coach djones107 had lost his team for a year, then got it back. So he had nine or ten of his own players, but a sim-generated crap schedule with a 300+ SOS.

I remember eagerly awaiting the matchups, since this would be the first time I was favored in a NT game. And then the 16 seed I was playing was more talented than my team! I still thought I would win, but wrong. He beat the 8 seed to make the sweet 16 before losing. Then he won the NT a few seasons later. These things made me feel a little better, but not much better.

This scenario could not be replicated in real life, but it seemed pretty reasonable to me in this sim (once I repaired the coffee-mug-shaped hole in my wall).

At RPI.com, Kansas is currently #1 and North Carolina is #77. Granted, the Tarheels aren't playing well right now but it's certainly conceivable they could beat Kansas on a given night.

I lost as a 1 seed in D3, season 17 Naismith. I think that I remember that 3 16 seeds won that season.

I remember one season in Knight where I think a total of 4 16-seeds across all divisions won.

It was at least three, one in DIII and two in DII, but there may have also been one in DI, I can't remember exactly though.
