Also the PAC-10 only had 3 NT teams and he is the only one to survive the first round. Not exactly the hardest conference.

IMO, that does detract from a claim as 'greatest ever' quite a bit.

Still an impressive season tho.

Well, he won. And while the Pac-10 didn't fare well in the tourney (I was knocked out in the 1st round despite being a #3 seed), we were 4th in conference RPI (better than tmac's Big 10).

I'd say jerkstore's ASU team was a close second to lostmyth's UNC team the year before. 5 guys declared early, which did not include ASU's best underclassman (Santos Etherton) or their best player, senior Stephen Venne. Even if the UNC team had more talent, that just makes jerkstore's accomplishment that much more impressive.

No way on Duke, though. Sure, that's a crazy schedule, but 4 losses is four losses. Of course, maybe they'll meet up in the finals and we'll know for sure

Your name suggests as much (pun intended and no offense). Check the post that says he had 5 guys drafted... 12-5=7, which means he had 12 players....

Not to mention you'll always play a season with 12 players because of walk ons. Only time I could see it differ is if you have 'ships taken away, but I'm not sure if that means only x amount of players, or x amount of players can be signed and rest are walk ons.
