No, I'm actually making fun of you because you deserve it. First, this has been discussed a million times. But I'll give you the explanation(s) real quick.
1. Short term injuries are much more prevalent in real life. Players miss a day here and there due to stiffness, soreness, fatigue, sprains, etc. Lower durability in HBD replaces those off days.
2. As previously mentioned, teams rest players in the minors because they don't want kids going from 35-70 games per season to 140. They like to move them along much slower. Lower durability in HBD attempts to force the same.
3. The minors are for developing players. In the real world, teams want to get 15-20 players regular playing time. They have to SEE how the player is developing because they don't have handy-dandy rating updates every 30-40 games. Lower durability in HBD is an attempt to create the same results.
In short, real teams don't play 11 players over the course of a full season in the low minors. If you give me a team full of 80 DUR players, I would. And that's not realistic.
