Depends on how far away the recruit is. If they're 10 miles away then 16 scouting trips + scholarship offer = $2500 which is less than 1 scholarship worth of money.

so the key is luck - finding someone for DII who says you are a back up option that is very nearyby and worth the scholly... interesting...
