Okay guys what if we added in a stipulation that in this league all of the EFG% for all of the players (poison pills and the ones that we draft) must be less than 51% or 50%? Now that's a lot of poison!

I was thinking about starting a league with all of the players with the limited EFG% but figured that this idea might fit well into this league that has already since it has already begun to fill.

Just an added thought. Thanks.

what if you added a stipulation that you wouldnt start this league until they introduced us to the 09-10 player season and instead of pimping for a company that obviously isnt interested in your good works you were establishing some sort of possibly effective protest to their obvious indifference? I hate to be a wet blanket but seriously, starting up leagues at this point is a little bit like being a scab on a coal mine strike

I am pretty sure in his case, he has a **** ton of teams left to use as evidenced by the theme league option. He seems to have started a lot of leagues that just need their theme added in.

The only thing I really know is that I leave for three weeks really soon and I don't expect anything to have changed by the time I return and in hindsight if I get back and nothing has changed I might just hit the old dusty trail. No need to wait on broken promises and mismanaged websites I guess.

felonius establishing a protest won't do a thing as much as showing our interest doesn't appear to make a difference either.  I'm establishing leagues just for the fun of it, and with this type of league you really don't need 09-10 players.  They will come in time

I honestly like the idea of having different kinds of "poison" to deal with.  If every single player has subpar efg%, then it's no longer subpar...the playing field is even.

We might get a guy who can't throw the ball into the ocean from the beach, or a center who doesn't rebound much or a point guard who can't pass, or a guy (like McGinnis) who puts up pretty numbers but hacks a lot and can't hold onto the ball.  Much like the Joes Not Pros theme, I like the challenge of figuring out how to build around whatever cards I'm dealt.

Agreed.  I'm not spending money on open leagues or anything that needs or would clearly benefit from the 09-10 player seasons right now, and there are still good concepts to run with and leagues that are doing fine.
