Noting who made a waiver claim Topic

Isn't this really only a problem when you waive everyone on your 40-man roster? If you just put one or two guys on there, it's fairly easy to remember. And becomes even easier when you just send out a trade chat asking the other owner what they'd be willing to give up. Maybe we should go to the MLB rule where you can only have 7 guys on revocable waivers at a time. That would make it easier to track.

But I suppose if you too lazy or irresponsible to trade chat, or post in player's notes, or not delete the message, maybe have on icon on the GM page like with Rule 5 draft. The when you rollover it could tell you "Cleared" or "Claimed by XXX".

I think you nailed it.  If you can't use one of the many ways currently available, another option might be the best thing for you.

Why allow people to pay at the pump if they can just walk inside to pay?  I guess they're just too lazy to take advantage of the methods already available.

If you'll explain how opening a player card(step 1) and then opening the transaction list(step 2) is easier than opening an email(lone step), I'll be glad to field that question.

No need to field a rhetorical question.  I've made my suggestion and merits for it clear.  There's really not much else to be said.  Some will agree, some won't.  If you fall into the latter category, that's fine.

Don't be mad.   You made a suggestion.  Some agreed, others explained why it's unnecessary.   Such is life in a public forum.  Everyone throws poop on the wall to see what they get.  Sometimes you get art but, usually. it's just poop on the wall.

Storing the waiver claim information in the player note after you get the email is a fine idea.  Provided that they give us the long-asked-for different color icons for player notes.

Oh, not mad at all.  Like I said before (and you then reiterated), some agree, some don't.

And we agree that it's not necessary.  The game will live on without it.  I'm saying that it'd be an improvement, an added convenience.  And with my limited software development experience, this would be a seemingly minor change (though no one on this forum besides admin can really know).  You don't seem to think it would be an improvement.  And that's okay.  I value the opinion of any player who has complete 50+ seasons, but I'm not hurt if they don't agree with me.

"Why do you need different color notes? You can just click on the player card and read the information. Sure it takes longer, but differing note colors is just redundant and WIS would be better off spending their time working on something productive." (just giving MikeL23's response for him so he doesnt have to waste his time with redundant typing - I have been wanting different colored note icons for ages)

Uh, I believe Mike has also been asking for different color note icons as well.

And what "necessary" changes are left to make?  At this point, it's about making it neater or funner or easier to play with improved features in the UI.  It's about a product manager prioritizing the changes based on which ones they think will keep current users and attract new users.

So Mike L23's statemenmt that "I honestly wouldn't care less if they did it. But, if they spend time making "unnecessary" changes to give us redundant information, they aren't spending time doing something else. Now maybe the "something else" is looking at porn on the internet. Or maybe it's making worthwhile changes." doesnt applied to having pink and purple notes but does apply to times you delete an email and have no way of getting that information abck?

If you have any poop, fling it now.

Source?

Are you relying on http://www.cbabaseball.com/rules/index.php?title=Waiver or do you have another source with a bit more authority?

FWIW, I see nothing about that rule under the Waivers portion of the real collective bargaining agreement (http://mlb.mlb.com/pa/pdf/cba_english.pdf).
