LP 9 & 'sky's the limit' Topic

I have a PG on my WNM team who started at a 17 PE and is now at an 83 midway through his junior year, he had the sky's the limit in the scouting report.
No he didn't. Or rather, if he did, it has nothing to do with his perimeter shooting. "Sky's the limit," is specifically for LP. It is the high-high message for LP. The high-high message for PER is "I see such solid fundamentals that with enough practice I don't see why he can't be a *significantly* better shooter than he is today."

I had a player with 17 LP and 43 work ethic make it up to 81 by the end of his senior year.

The growth will be 30+ as long as the work ethic and practice minutes will allow.
when was this?

i have had similar players. but in the new engine, and actually in seble's main potential fix patch, i think the high/high was capped. not sure exactly where (i know, that is ridiculous, i honestly have no idea how i haven't figured that out yet). but i am thinking maybe 40?
Yeah, I highly doubt that was recent.
Sorry for the delay in getting back.  He just graduated, so he was the last year of old recruits in Knight

Thanks for the heads up.  I recruited the guy with so many scouting reports to pull him down that they all ran together for me.  In any case, the end result is the same, he went from a 17 to an 84 with the max scouting report message, showing that monster gains in one category are very possible with the new recruits.  But I appreciate the feedback, I didn't realize that there were different messages for high/high gains.  Learn something new every day!

each category has specific messages...they are all different. There is a thread out there - it was old, but billy g (or one of his alts) (I think it was billy g) just reposted it recently in a thread within the last couple weeks.

well, i used to have the info in that useful link archive somewhere so i figured that was enough. but now that i realized that thread is no longer pinned (wtf is that about anyway?) it seems to make sense to post it from time to time when people ask.

here is a list of the high high and low high message for each attribute. when you read a couple mediums and lows, its very easy to distinguish between them, so this is all i figure people need to reference 99% of the time:
Ath
Definitely wasn't the best athlete on the floor - unless I'm an idiot and/or this is the laziest kid ever, we can *dramatically* improve his athleticism.
Good athleticism - I'm going to go out on a limb and say that he could improve substantially if he really works at it.
Spd
if he works hard at it, we could see *massive* improvement here
with the right diet and conditioning he could be MUCH quicker than he is today
Reb
Fantastic rebounding instincts - there's no reason to NOT expect HUGE improvement here.
based on my experience, he can still improve substantially if we work with him and he's willing.
Def
I really think we could see massive improvement by his Senior year.
if he's willing to listen, we could really see some major improvement.
Sb
he's shown glimpses of raw ability which make me think he just has *tremendous* room for improvement
has a LOT of room for growth with the right drills and coaching. / definitely has above average room for growth with the right drills and coaching
Lp
skys the limit
has a LOT of room for growth with the right drills and coaching.
Per
I see such solid fundamentals that with enough practice I don't see why he can't be a *significantly* better shooter than he is today
I know this may sound crazy, but I think he has the potential to really improve his shot.
Bh
he has the raw skills to make me think he has *tremendous* upside.
with the right drills and assuming he's willing to put in the time, I see big upside
Pass
with more experience I expect to see TREMENDOUS improvement.
I'd like to see him play more, but still, I really think we could see fairly significant improvement.
Sta
with the right diet and drills, I think we can see a *dramatic* change in his conditioning
even with that, I think we can really improve upon his conditioning
FT%
the fundamentals look solid, with time and coaching, he could really show some improvement. - i think this is the only message for FT, only one ive seen at least
