Ha. Well, I know you and billyg have discussed it before, but what's the best way to knock off a D1 sim? Isn't it harder in the new engine? And the sims that were on my guys each had 6+ schollies.
actually more schollies is better. the sim spends the lion's share of their money on their top (scholarships - 2) players, slanted heavily towards their higher priorities. with 6 scholarships, that is 6 split 4 ways. 3 is the worst - 3 split 1 way, and you know its the sim's top target.
as long as FSS indicates not a high priority, i have never had trouble at close distance (i would say even 200-360 is pretty safe). you do have to be prepared to spend 8-10k if you are unlucky though. but frequently 5 can do it.
also i don't think its any harder in the new engine. you just can't do long distance battles (against sims, i recently battled a d1 human at long distance but only bc he pays for that distance too - sims don't).
ideally you can wait until the guy drops to you naturally to save the money on evals. but if not spend the minimum on evals then go all home visits.
