remember that if you are recruiting players based on a single formula (per position), then you are simply recruiting the best player in general. which is very often different than the best player given your team. i find that a spread sheet can cut 100 targets to 10, but there is no substitute for figuring it out to get to 1.

although i have daydreamed about an absurdly complex formula for team talent projections over future seasons involving WE and anticipated practice times, where you could plug in recruits and see which would make your team the best season-by-season.

i bet there's one guy out there that does this. granted, he might suck, but i bet there's one...
