No, I didn't want him if I couldn't redshirt him.  I only want guys who are about the name on the front of the jersey.

With that said one's scout report said he was a team player, always rode the bus.
Well, there you go. If you don't ever take the RS off, then that makes sense.

If you take the RS off and then get enough effort into him to where he'll accept it, then that's the way to go.

yeah unless you don't want him without the RS.  Team players only girt.  I've got so many internationals all players need a year to learn Russian and Italian

In a related question, can you still get "recruiting effort credit" after informing a guy of a redshirt? For ex. Let's say I am originally on a guys considering list. Then I tell him of my intention to RS. He responds with the "You crazy" line and takes me off his list.  Now, even though I am not on a guys considering list (due to being informed of a redshirt), do hv/cv etc. that I may offer (assuming they are accepted) count for recruiting credit, or is it simply throwing cash away until I take off the intention to RS?

Lol, nice. But what I'm saying is that you can remove the RS, then put in more effort, and then re-apply the RS. So you don't have to take him w. out the RS.

the visits count for recruiting credit (assuming they are accepted, as you mentioned).
