You're in D3; the prestige multiplier is very small. I wouldn't worry about it at all. If you're at a short 70 miles you probably have a spending advantage over a full letter grade higher at a long 70 miles.
I'm not sure I understand this.
If you're suggesting that you get a recruiting advantage (i.e. your recruiting efforts are worth more than they normally would be) if the recruit is 70 miles or less, that's not correct. Being within 70 miles does give you the opportunity to recruit some players who ordinarily wouldn't have been open to talking to you. But it doesn't strengthen your actual recruiting efforts.
If you're not suggesting that ... well, then I don't know what you're suggesting, lol.
I'm suggesting that with the price jump beyond 70 miles the higher prestige school would probably have to pay more to recruit a player than the lower prestige school. So for example, if both teams are recruiting exclusively with HVs by the time the higher prestige school's prestige advantage had gained them an HV worth of advantage in recruiting credit the lower prestige school, being within 70 miles, could afford to pay for the extra HV and still have spent less money.
EDIT: I don't know what I was thinking; 70 isn't one of the spots with the price jump. But anyway... say 70 vs. 150 or 200, maybe.
