That was one of the changes they made with the new engine, fouls really went up. They actually adjusted it down after a season or so because they were so high.
Tianyi7886, you have have done very well with your formula. But you are much higher in SPD with your guards, which is where it is really critical. I think with the new engine there are several approaches that can work.
I love the Flex with the Press, but the FB is also well suited. I like Flex because Flex does not require much LP, and needs a lot of SPD. I seldom have a C on my team and at times will play a SF at C. It allows for more SPD with the Press too. You give up REB, but you should make up for it in Steals, more TOs created, and 3 point percentage. If we don't create 20 TOs per game I'm not happy. Plus, when you have a player with PER and LP playing C, it requires a big guy to come out and cover him to prevent the 3 and allows for drives to the basket and more trips to the FT line. The other reason I like the Flex is that it does not require much of an IQ. It is probably the lowest IQ of any offense. So you can put more minutes into the Press and fewer into the Flex.
