Although in this case you must admit that as a derivative of comrade the alternative spelling is actually more reasonable in a way...  Why should one still use the French spelling and the other be anglicized?  I like the consistency.

It's a break in my day from playing "World of Tanks", "Pennant Chase", "Simball", computer Chess, watching You Tube and The Three Stooges..really takes the pressure off and let's me relax.

I get a kick out of Boog's effervescent personality.

Drafting is the most enjoyable aspect for me, changing the parameters to see what names appear with each new tweak. I also enjoy studying the teams other players in my leagues have drafted. With my present team I'm going to read the box scores for each game, something I did infrequently when I had several teams in play at the same time. Less is more.

I like the competition.

There is nothing better than a playoff series against a guy you have been playing against for seasons.

What I like most - besides winning - is drafting.  Sometimes the season seems almost anticlimactic.  I'm also impressed with the calibre of most people on this site - sure, there are some trolls (aren't there always) but there are a lot of people with whom I'd enjoy hoisting a few, I am sure.

What I miss most (not that you asked) are worthy forum adversaries - the psychotic Carocarn, the pretentious (with the ability to back it up) LemayRipper, the faux intellectual TomBarrister.  Ah, those were the days ...

I like camaraderie even better.
You spell camaraderie and I spell comradery.
The OED does not recognize the alternate spelling, fwiw.

And that's another thing I love about this site - the off-the-wall directions discussions take sometimes.

This is why I like LIVE.  In the past year or so I've been busy and missed some mins, and it's cost me the playoffs on more than 1 100+ win team.  And when I did have time to play all the games for large numbers of teams the regular season could sometimes drag a bit.  All the same, LIVE playoffs are the greatest thing on the site.  Although I think the tournament in HD comes close...

I agree, my favorite part of WIS is playing play-off games live and watching the drama unfold.  Super fun.  Also, I get to call the shots and not Sparky.

I havent played live yet, I am going to check it out. How long does a game last?
10/14/2011 2:30 PM
A game on medium speed will run about 20 minutes.

I like keeping up with, and beating the crap out of, a couple of old friends in SLB.  They, in turn, beat the crap out of me in HD.

This is a cool thread.  I like many of the aforementioned aspects of Sim.  Drafting is the most fun.  It's easy to draft more teams than I can handle managing sometimes.  In addition, I really enjoy learning about players I've never heard of before.  Whenever I draft a team and take a player I've never heard of, I'll do a search on wikepedia and learn about that player.  Practically every player that ever existed is listed in wikepedia.  I also like researching the ballparks and learning interesting trivia about them.  Playing Sim is a great baseball history lesson.
