Did he take it well? Topic

I don't think he took it well.  That cancer to your dog thing is pretty heinous.  As a commish, this is one of the things that bothers me.  Often, I'm able to get the open spots filled, and then we have to wait for a longstanding owner to reup.  Why don't people just buy the 10 packs.  It works out to 19.99 per season, and by the time I need to rebuy one, I've usually accumulated around $100 in credits anyhow.
To be fair, he also said "all the best."

Yeah, there was that.

It had to take him longer to write that sitemail than it would have taken to renew his team over the previous 90+ days.   I guess I should have held up 30 other owners(none of whom protested when I said I was moving on at 4 PM) indefinitely so he could find the time from his new job(which obviously has him working 72+ hours straight) and re-up.

Seriously, Jim Croce?  Were all the relevant Neil Diamond lyrics copyrighted?

As someone going through chemotherapy treatment for cancer, I wouldn't wish it on anything or anyone. What a dick move.

However, I did manage to renew my team while undergoing treatment, dealing with side effects and trying to get to work as often as possible. So I don't feel bad for this fool losing his team. At all.

Well, that certainly puts my whiney thread about major injuries into perspective. Hope all turns out well for you, tnicol44.

As someone who's life has been touched by cancer (both my parents) I was pretty shocked when I read that too.  Stay strong and best of luck to you, tnicol44.

I hope Mike's dog can re-up within the next three months.
My dog has three credits.   He's just waiting for someone to let a n00b join.   His name is Bernie.  After Bernie Williams.   So I can yell "GODDAMMIT, BERNIE!!!  GO GET THE BALL!!!!"    I've missed that.

And when he turns 7-8, you can change his name to Jeter.

Then you can tell your friends, "Ya, Jeter doesn't really move much...but throw the ball right at him and watch him gobble that sucker up!"

Rest assured, I make more money than most here, so scraping together 25 bucks isn't a big deal. Unfortunately the new job is a lot of hours, but hours I'm willing to put in because it's a pretty good job with great benefits and incentives. So forgive me if I forgot to re-up in time, must have slipped my mind.

So what does Mike have to do to ensure he didn't do anything wrong? Make a thread of course! Even more of a tool move than not even having the deceny to send a sitemail saying 'dude, you took too long, gave your team away.' I would have said 'that's cool, I've been crazy busy, absolutely understand, I wasn't able to get to a computer as I've been checking my teams on my phone which takes a couple minutes.' But I sit down, teams gone (knew that was coming), world was approved but no sitemail. Doesn't even send a sitemail, mostly because you are a ******, think Louis CK's definition of ******..

My grandpa recently blasted his bladder cancer (dunno how you get bladder cancer) to oblivion and my aunts colon cancer, in which doctors said there was basically no hope of getting rid of, went away on its own. Same aunt who has Down Syndrome, leads me to believe someone is watching over her, she's the coolest person I know. I also don't get offended when people say retard, whatever, just words. Bot thrilled that cancer runs on both sides of my family, why I quit smoking.

If you want to come to my house and knock on my door I'd be more than willing to answer it if you care to talk to face-to-face. If rolling over a world instantly is on top of anyones priority list I highly suggest you take a step back and reorder them.

Bon Chance in all your endeavours,
JDrake

Jim Croce died far too early, the good ones usually do. His best of compact disc is in my compact disk player in my car. Anyone remember compact discs?

Are you also an astronaut and a cowboy?  It's the internet.  You can make any amount you like and have any job you like.    And you can be a badass too!!

I started a thread because you blocked me.  Figured I'd mock you publicly so everyone would know what a dipshit you are.

You're welcome.

"Rest assured, I make more money than most here, so scraping together 25 bucks isn't a big deal."

If "25 bucks isn't a big deal", then why didn't you take two freakin' minutes at some point over the past three months to reserve the next season?

You know, like everybody else who was returning was somehow able to do?
