I don't think that is true at all.  Or at the bare minimum misleading.

I'd like to see some statistical research, but if all other things being equal I'd take a C+/A+ player over a A+/C+ player any time.  You can't field it if you can't get there.

Generally speaking, I'd rather have the A+/C+ at C, SS, 3B and I'd rather have the C+/A+ at 1B, 2B and the OF.

You're discussing this as though the fielders were the same in all other respects. There are many attributes that can make an A/C fielder more desirable than a C+/A+ player for a particular team. You can say "all else being equal," but all else is never equal.

As for middle infielders, I'll take the A+/C+ any day because (1) range costs too much; and (2) a C+ SS will have a ton of errors.  Besides, I generally go with D- range infielders anyway and it works fine for me.
