Could it be a booster gifts situation tipping the tables in the other team's favor? I've had that done to me before at D2 and blew more than $10K on a kid that I had a clear distance and prestige advantage on (I was in St. Louis, the guy I was battling was in Washington and I think the target kid was from Oklahoma) because the other guy had thrown a booster gift the kid's direction. Although I was always shown as being considered...but I was the first guy on the kid as well and then the west coast school moved in. 

Just throwing it out as a possible explanation.

LOL, shows how much I use the boosters feature -- I wasn't even aware they didn't work at D3! Guess it wasn't a good theory to offer...

It's pretty rare in D3 to see a kid being **very solid**, so he must have a ton into him.  Did you ever say what his prestige was?  And I assume this is a true freshman, right?

We both have A- prestige, he is a freshman. Luckily I had quite a bit of money and carry over so I can redirect my efforts elswhere... but man that is a head scratcher. I will be interested to see how many other guys he signs.

this doesn't sound right. i can't see how you can show up in FSS without being considered, that is definitely wrong IMO, id ticket it. the rest of it is a little strange too. its expensive as **** for a d2 school to get a player to very tight. d3 its not much more expensive, but it is somewhat more expensive (due to prestige difference), and more importantly, you have less money. im pretty surprised honestly.

I sent a ticket, I didn't think it was right and I am still confused how it happened.

if you didn't send it as it happened, you're likely SOL w/CS.  They'll have no way to recreate this circumstance, blah blah blah.  And it was all D3 schools involved, right?
