Other than the fact that there is no player linked in the OP, there is no such thing as rushing a players to the bigs as long as he gets playing time he will develop.

Or gets to big $ time and/or some other team more quickly than he should/could have.

If by quicker you mean he would be younger, yes. It would be the same amount of ML service time, or 3+ years of ml min, 2 years of arb, 5 year contract.
