our worlds have very similar population data so im guessing world strength is a non-factor in comparison of our two conferences (which is ideal). thats really the one "hidden" factor that occasionally throws people off, its what makes the list put high level success in seasons 12-21 of a fresh d1 less desirable than a high level of success in a cram-packed, established d1 world. its what puts having success in d3 wooden above some of the ghost town d3s. but its really best when its not a factor in comparison, especially in the discussion of "best in HD" or "best in HD history"

pretty close numbers across the board.  The GLV has the extra NT Championship, but the Gulf South appears to have a better knack of avoiding the early upsets while only about 30% of the GLV NT teams reach the Sweet 16, over 50% of the GSC NT teams play through to the Sweet 16.
