It should be noted that the last one of these had to be converted to a double regressive at some point in the 80s. The draft pools get very thin.
That said, I am not joining at this time, just warning you to keep that in mind!
I'd prefer a separate year double draft. Skip backwards about ten years to '72 or '71.
Then your drafts would be two years and you can still regress at one year at a time
for the players. Rather than having to choose between the two years of the player.
So a separate regressive double draft would be as an example, the 1985 last year pool AND the 1973 last year pool.
Then your drafts would be very deep and the ABA players would be included to play against the '80s superstars.
