A FUNNY THING HAPPENED ON THE WAY……... Topic

Mr. debater.  I realize you made those posts before I finished my thought.  Didn't want to make a long post.  So let's just move on.

I'm interested in what I would agree with any of the above.  I'll pick Hitler to make a point.  He backed the Volkswagen.  I'm sure he didn't invent it but the idea was brought to his desk.  Fuel efficient and functional and affordable.  This car would have never been produced in the United States at that period of time.  It was produced in Germany because of the politics.  A National-Socialistic government.  The car manufacturers were nationalized.  Unlike Communism, the owners of the plant were allowed retainment of property at a fiscal cost but were forced to make what they were told.

Fast forward to the United States of America in 2008 - 2009.  General Motors takes the bailout.  They drop research and production of the hydrogen based car and produce the Chevy Volt.

I trust the gravity of that sea change does not escape you.  It doesn't happen in a free market society.

I also trust you are aware Toyota is now ahead of us and are producing their hydrogen cars NOW!  Check out the 2015 model.

Given that I work in battery development, I might be an even tougher sell than the average intelligent person in terms of hydrogen being in any way superior to battery electric...

Perhaps that taints your view.  You still need battery bridge for ignition and sustain a reliable emergency power source.

Hydrogen is 70% of our atmosphere.  Combined with oxygen we have contact.  Separated and forced into contact produces recyclable energy.

I suggest we use solar, wind and hydro resources to produce low cost hydrogen power.  Nuke plants are a plentiful source of  hydrogen.

As we transition from coal and oil and gas, we need to get to the point of using natural energy sources to produce natural energy sources.

You can't use hydrogen to power your computer, only your car.  The demand for battery power will only grow in the future.

Sometimes, I sit in my room and imagine what would happen if chocolate met peanut butter.
