Just a word of future caution -- if the situation was as gillespie described and 2+ were recruiting/pulling down this recruit, then this post just tipped off the competition

Assuming that the other coach reads the forums and happened upon this post, then yes he could have tipped off the competition.  Pirate is right and it is probably better to  XXXXXXXXXXX out the player's name and your school's name, that way they don't know who they are competing against for said player. 

But.................I also happen to think that the chances of the other coach seeing this particular post in this particular thread and then putting two and two together to figure out that this is the specific recruit who they can't get to start considering their school, so now they know who they are competing against is probably pretty small.  Again, yes, it's probably better to just "X" out the important names and such, but I also wouldn't lose any sleep if I suddenly remembered that I had forgotten to do that.

Yeah, I should of XXX the name. Next time, I will. But I doubt I will be stuck in a 33SVS pull again.

Another concer is that dickweeds like me read those posts and think "zorzi is spending tons on this one player, I can pick off his other players and he won't be able to defend them."

And you would of been right. I had 2k left, players that were not sold on my team, only 4 schollies offered, I had 5 to fill. Fortunatly, nobody jumped on the players that were considering me.
