Hey Mike, doesn't a big portion of your actual job duties sort of compel you to be near/at the computer most times of the day?
I have a phone on me 24/7 and, due to East/West coast customer base, I need computer access about 12 hours per day(8 AM EST-5 PM PST).

Most of his responses are short and sweet too.  It's not like he's writing books or even reading the books that others post.  Mike is Mike.  Accept him for whatever that means for you and move on.

That's a good point.   Truth is, I'm actively working 4-5 hours a day.   That means, for 7-8 hours per day, I'm simply monitoring emails/phone calls/overseeing day to day ops.   Lot of time to fill.  

But, if I've said something you don't like, it's convenient to say "You must not have a life."   Which is fine.  Maybe I don't.   But YOU don't KNOW that.  You're just trying to be a passive-aggressive jerk.

I supervise and others work?   Everyone doesn't have to have their nose to the grindstone day in, day out.
