Thanks contrarian for giving us an update! Still very disappointed in them, as that is something that they should be doing.  It shouldn't be left to one of their customers to do it for them.

Excellent work contrarian! Should've asked him why Pat Vindette is only listed as a RHP! ;)

"So, yes, cultivation, water, fertilization, yield."

That has never been the Fox network's business plan. Never will!   Their business philosophy is readily apparent.
It's not based on substance. Rather it's based on hype.  i.e.--- "fair and balanced" .   This is a corporate entity that believes only in public manipulation.  Ignore tacets like "journalistic integrity", honesty, even hard work and effort to achieve success.  Instead just repeat slogans ad nauseum.   Like "just watch the best---Fox news"
Their business plan is obvious---repeat slogans often enough and you can manipulate the public into the belief that perception is reality.   To believe that Fox sports will actually spend time, money and effort to create a superior product and let that dictate success is to believe in the tooth fairy.

It is not a website, but a game. You buy it and download it and can play solitaire. But they also have online leagues (I don't play them, but many do) and those are similar to this site, but you play by downloading the game, joining an online league and then drafting the players more or less as we do in progs here.

But it is also a good home game and you can set up any kind of league that you want with few limitations.

Question for those of you who read stuff at fangraphs--there is a really astute commenter over there whose username is tz. Any idea if this is Tom?

Regarding: -- SLB is, however, at any given time, either their 3rd or 4th most popular game. By a fair margin, HBD and HD are their top 2. SLB is roughly tied with GD for the next spot. I did not realize this, but it perhaps makes more sense to me now that WIS has spent more time on those other games...

Another thought - Maybe SLB's 'ranking' is a result of WIS total lack of attention to it, and thus an exodus of players...Has it always been thus, or was SLB ranked higher years ago when WIS actually spent time/money on it???

SLB used to be #1, if memory serves.

I agree. If WIS / Fox Sports / Newscorp / New World Order Murdoch and Sons effectively cared for quality and profitability SLB would be very, very popular, one would think.

It doesn't need to be fitted to smartphones. (How could those necessarily huge tables be made "responsive?")

It needs continuous improvement in the quality of its play.

Maybe they should sell it to some company familiar with doing such things, if they are not.

Based on the title of this discussion, I thought we were going to hear more about food. Where did you guys go to eat? If Tom indeed picked up the tab, did it seem to effect how many playoff births you've had since? He's gotta make up for that tab by not letting you get any free credits.
