This is true....Blk is used in the equation that defends the ATH/LP scorers...it is weighed more heavily in zone than in man or press.
Has anyone quantified the impact of BLK on FG% of opponents to validate the assumption and determine its significance?
people have, but they did so incorrectly. generally speaking, nobody has exact values, and there really isn't even an exact value, its situational. you just have to watch & learn.

what assumption are you talking about? block both alters shots and causes blocks, this is a known fact (not saying you should know that! just saying its a known fact). blk is used to defend lp scoring, thats pretty obviously not an assumption. do you mean the zone thing, blk mattering more in zone than man or press? well, its not a known fact, but its definitely true.
