I recall several (actual many) years ago a posting by somebody letting us know his '67 Carlos made it through an entire season with a 0.00 ERA in the closer role. That made an impression on me, although I don't recall any other details regarding the feat other than it was a great season.
His 0.00 Era season shows up in his performance history for all to view...should there be any interest in doing so

2003 John Smoltz was my closer in a dual era progressive, mean salary in the league around 95 million.

43 games, 2-0, 39/40 in save opportunities. 40 2/3 innings, a 0.22 ERA, .155 OAV, 0.59 WHIP, and... wait for it... 50 strikeouts, 1 walk, and no home runs allowed.

MLB 114158, best relief season I've ever had.

Team just started the playoffs.

I had an '81 Gossage that went 41/41 with a 0.00 ERA over the course of a season.  Of course he went on to blow three straight save opps in the first round of the playoffs.  That was annoying.

A million years ago (or so it seems), I had a '58 Barry Latman post a 0.00 ERA.
