Back again with 2 off days at the end of the season, PLEASE randomize, an off day for roster building for each team during the season is a good thing, get off the couch with this easy update.

If it's an easy update, why post about it here? Just send WIS the code and documentation so they can copy paste everything into the game.

It would be a much better idea to make recruiting last the entire season. Instead of 6 hour cycles, make each day a cycle. That would give everyone something to do on off-days while also making it much harder to miss a cycle due to real life. We'd have more time to analyze other battles and rival teams. This would need to be accompanied by a fix of RS2 because you obviously can't do full-day cycles for RS2, but it's a step in the right direction.

Imagine taking over a new rebuild where you don't have any of your own players. At least you'd get to stay engaged for most of the season.

There are 10 conference schedules that rotate over a ten season period.

ie.. in a season ending with 1, all the schedules for a particular school across all worlds is the same. So season 91, 101, 111, 121, 131... will be the same for any given school across all worlds. And seasons #95, 105, 115, 125, 135, 145.... will have the same conference schedules.

Arizona is one that gets a lot of double byes in conference slots 17 & 18.
double byes to end the season in seasons ending in; 0, 1, 2, 7, 8, 9. With all six seasons playing Washington and Washington State before the double byes.
Plus two seasons (#5 & #6) with the double bye coming in slots 16 & 17.

Conference schedules usually don't change much from season to season. Often with 3-4 teams rotating to fill the same slot every season.

For Arizona: slot/game 1 is; seasons ending #0: Cal-home, season #1: Stanford-away, #2: Stanford-home, #3: Hawaii-home, #4: Hawaii-away, #5: Cal-home, #6: Cal-away, #7: Stanford-away, #8: Stanford-home, #9: Cal-away
So that makes 4 openers vs Cal, 4 openers vs Stanford, 2 openers vs Hawaii.

Slot #2 has Hawaii 4 times, Cal-2, Stanford-2, Fresno-2
...
Slot #17 has eight byes and Fresno 2 times
Slot #18 has 6 byes, Cal twice, Arizona State twice

Agree 100%. I would have many more teams if it wasn't for the 6 hour recruiting cycles.

10:55 ET and 11:05 ET.........now you're dealing with essentially 12 hour cycles.

Sure, but with 24-hour cycles.... 10:55 ET and 11:05 ET.... now you're dealing with 48-hour cycles.

How so? You do your recruiting at 10:55 AM and 11;05 AM and then at the same times in the PM. You hit all four cycles in a 24 hour period and you're on for like 20 minutes total.

he's talking about how it works today - that in today's game, you can really treat it like 12 hour cycles IF you do your stuff at a specific time (10:55 AM and PM). which is some tradeoff for sure.

not surprising to me that this strategy, the do the thing at a certain time that makes strategy, works great for an ex-military like emy but is an impossible goal for a degenerate like me. i mean, i am on doing my cycles at 10:55 regularly, but the 11:05 part... anyway i always wondered what the community breakdown was on that. not counting those over-eager folks who are actually excited to check closer to 5, screw those guys!

I understand what he was saying, but my reply is to the notion that recruiting 5 minutes before and after a cycle stretches out the cycle from 6 hours to 12 hours. If we had 24-hour cycles, then doing the same thing gets you 48 hours, which would be helpful in some of our lives.

Anyways I'm the kind of coach who needs more than 20 minutes per day for scouting and recruiting. But I also exclusively play D1 and it looks like emy is more of a D2/D3 coach so maybe the systems are a little different. I also probably spend a lot more time on recruiting than I need to, but it's had positive results.
