Yes - I believe it will start recruiting tonight. Those players will be on your team this year. Later in the season, you will be able to scout, and then start recruiting for next season. If you are able to take a couple of walk ons, it might be beneficial for you because you get full recruiting dollars for walk-ons, and you may be able to recruit better players in Beta.

Rollover of the updated game requires teams have completed recruiting. So, the only way this can work is for an "old" world to rollover and recruit under the "old" system. So, Phelan is recruiting right now. Not impossible for that world to be paused right after recruiting ends for the update and commence the next season in the "new" game. So, staff can correct me if I'm wrong, but each world has to go like so:

1. Rollover under "old" system;
2. Job Application "old"
3. New coach signup "old" ****though HD could eliminate this*****
4. Recruit under "old" system;
5. Pause -- update -- Release to "new"
6. Rollover under "new" system
7. New coach signup "new"
8. Exhibitions
9. yada yada...

so....if this is the last recruiting under the old system...i take it there is no point to having rollover cash at all...it will all be lost, right?...so spend every last dime?

Seble just said on the beta forum (and apparently the roll out message has been updated now too) that Wooden will be the first to roll to the new system.

when does wooden roll?

but that doesn't make sense for Wooden to be the first world to recruit under the new system. What rogelio posted seems the way it has to be done for every world.

Here is seble's post. Not sure when they're supposed to roll though.

Wooden will be the first. We added that to the announcement. Need a little more time to test the transition process.

Wooden plays its championship game tonight. We're still a number of days from starting recruiting.

I'm way behind on all of today's happenings. Is Wooden getting an entirely new recruit generation as well then? Say (hypothetically, of course) I had full carryover from last season and have already scouted the entire NE part of the country-any idea if the recruits are going to be the same but the rules will change to nuHD or will the entire recruit gen be changed as well?

As Rogelio says, I think rollover to new HD has to happen after recruiting is done. Then once the season starts, you can start recruiting for next year's class while you start playing. So if Wooden ends tonight, I would expect them to get another offseason of old recruiting; and then they'll be the first to start the new season with the new system after recruiting is done.
