Nole, the frustration goes both ways. Maybe some are more negative than others, but some who are not happy would like their voice heard to hope changes are made to compromise for all to be happy with the new game, or at least feel it's acceptable. It doesn't help when everytime a negative post is made, or one suggesting changes, that someone from the WIS support group feels the need to defend the game, or just as often insult others.
Ultimately you might be annoyed that Dac posted something you and others are tired of seeing, but in the end it's the truth, and while those who support the new game try to shut down those pointing out issues, even repeatedly, they may very well be contributing to the end. If these issues are not addressed, those world populations will not get better.
Just like I'm sure many of you will say, if you don't like the game leave, I would say if you don't like the post, leave the thread.
"It doesn't help when everytime a negative post is made, or one suggesting changes, that someone from the WIS support group feels the need to defend the game ..."
Are you saying there aren't two sides to each issue? I think you are referring to hughesjr, chapelhillne, shoe3 and others responding to complaints with facts and strategies. That is what doesn't help the complainers. Maybe the negative posters should read those posts a little more carefully. I see a lot of fact and strategy being put forth by these guys and not a comparable effort by those who denigrate the game. So many of the complaints are one guy's idea about how the game "should" run, or yearning for a return to 2.0, or blanket condemnation of all that WIS does. Those don't present facts or ideas that elevate the conversation.
No spud, it's actually guys like you that have no facts or support. You try to piggy back on every positive thing said, even if it's false. You blindly support the game without a proper reference as to the ramifications of some of these changes. Who cares that the population is dying off, we'll just get more people, except that's probably not going to happen. Virtually anything negative said, you have to jump in and protect 3.0 like it's going to be hurt, and you conveniently leave out important context in your criticism which is one of the things that I respond to most negatively in these posts.
In addition, you spout out other people giving facts when in reality, they are giving their opinions. In case you forget, that entire discussion you just tried to point out began with me offering some thoughts on something I think could improve the current system and was met with, get over it, this is the game now and an assumption that I want to be told what to do and that I obviously don't have a clue how to play the new game.
It's hilarious when people tell me they love the new game that has many strategies and there was was only 1 way to scout and recruit before, but then one of those guys just spent pages arguing with me about this while at the same time we discussed our different strategies in the old game, yet he didn't even realize it. He spent 30 min for FSS while I spent 30 seconds. Looks like he tried to look at recruits before scouting states while I scouted states before looking at recruits. Sounds like we approached recruiting differently which supposedly didn't exist, and is supposedly why this game is so much better.
