I am not a fan of the the High over Very High but I know that is the new route WIS is going... I will live with it until I can't anymore. My bigger complaint was the stupid wording of the e-mail, also that recruits sign so fast after the 2nd session begins. I think the 2nd session is too short and should be extended.
Agreed .. and also add some protected time in the beginning where no one signs.
I view such "protected time" as unnecessary overkill, and I hope WIS does, too. The entire first recruiting period is already protected time due to Seble's red light, which denies D2/D3 teams the fruits of their recruiting efforts.

It's not unnecessary for you Spud. If a majority of your openings are due to EEs, which mine are it is necessary. I have to fill 2-3 EEs and 1-2 graduate/walkons most sessions. I know sucks to be me, share the wealth, etc. but the top teams just have a turnstile of EEs in HD and in real life so it matters. Or else my team is going to have

I used to go EE frosh, EE soph, EE Junior, EE frosh, etc.
Now I go
Walkon-EE frosh - EE soph - EE Junior - walkon

Does that make the game better? I don't see how. Just frustrating for me, and I will try to poach the heck out of you the first cycle of period 2 when I get the majority of my recruiting resources. It's no good for the B level teams I'm poaching either.

"... the top teams just have a turnstile of EEs in HD and in real life so it matters..."

Apples and oranges. One or two top RL teams have a "turnstile" of EE's. In HD they will be very spread out, and playability of the game matters more, since it applies to everyone. The old notion of entitlement to a turnstile of EE's in HD was true in 2.0, but no longer.

I think Vh to h need to be changed to odds of signing. And efforts made are enough for you to get a % shot at a recruit. I disagree, when I go 20 hvs, 1cv, promised start, promised minutes, good to very good preferences to always lose to a higher prestige team... Efforts are there...
I have lost 3 times as a VH against a H, in all off them having gone "All in" with 20 hv, 1 cv, promises. I was A+ prestige, lost to a B once and B+ twice. I guess I just suck at rolling dice.

A series of dice rolls effects the outcome of one game. One dice roll in recruiting effects your team for the next 4 seasons, especially if you come out on the losing end of a highly ranked recruit.

This is also called track record, and you can figure the results out faster by seeing the results in a 4 year cycle. You can predict spread if you may wish.

I think seeing coaches express no more understanding of the game than this will help newcomers realize that some veteran coaches don't take the time or make the effort to understand the game. They are not an insurmountable obstacle. Newcomers, even if they missed the beta, can understand the game better than that by reading the Guide.
