OK, as a neophyte, I need to know.

My 7(will be 6) are pretty bad at ATH/SPD/DE. I'll recruit better but I'm not completely screwed because of that class, right? I don't mind losing while I recruit better but, damn, losing for 3-4 seasons will suck.
Not gonna lie, its pretty damn bad. If your ath and def is in the teens then youre not in great shape. i cant see the potential but id look to cut some of those guys.

Or switch to a new team next season that was coached by a human.

Unfortunately, that team is trash. Harris is ok at the 3, Blum is passable at the 4. Your best 1 is Barnes. You can play Grinstead and Snyder at the 5 in a 2-3 and feel kinda good, but ATH means a lot for post players. They have significant effectiveness ceilings. You might as well play Franklin at the 2.

If you decided to stay for a 2nd season there (I wouldn't), then you should plan on rescinding a bunch of scholarships. Now you get extra cash and AP when you rescind players that you didn't recruit. That would allow you to stuff the team with your own players for next season...at least then you'd feel like it was developing talent.

The reality is that there are multiple ways to win, but your team has got to be strong at either ATH or SPD and something else. For the most part, it's best to build a team intuitively with fast guards and athletic forwards. The post players in a zone, especially, can have a 1 speed, but need to have very good ATH / REB / SB to be effective. The benefit of playing zone would be to allow you to take a 10 ATH / 90 SPD / 10 DEF / 75 (PER, BH & P) player and feel good about giving him a ton of minutes. However, there's just no fixing being bad at both offense and defense.

Sorry for the bad news. Probably 4 seasons away.

When you schedule for next season, schedule good Sim's from all Sim Worlds to increase your RPI and SOS. With that team, next season I would play mainly Sim Teams.

The good news is that with zone, you can play with 8 pretty easily, so you can cut your rotation down.Cutting 3 or 4 players at the end of the year won't hurt you, even if you don't fill all the scholarships this year. At D3, you can find some decent players who fall through the cracks to you, and signing them with little or no battle is not tough. Since you're playing in a conference with other new players, you're all learning together. Try to schedule some easy wins next year for non-conference.

Oh well, good thing I don't mind.
