"I hope they made a point on fixing D1 effort versus D2."

I agree. High D1's can crush low D1's and all D2's much too easily. But it's not a major thing.
Funny Spud. No player, effort or not, with D1talent will pass up a guaranteed start to play in the Big 10. He won't say: you had supper at my house 10 times, for that reason, I am coming to Chaminade...
On behalf of the Hawaiian Tourism Council, I would just like to point out that the beaches a college student can reach with just a short walk from Chaminade are some of the finest on the planet and co-eds look way nicer in swim attire than they do bundled in parkas during five months of Minnesota blizzard...
I think this sort of "wild card" for recruiting would have been an awesome addition. I know the whole "party school" preference has come up as a suggestion a few times, but I think it'd be awesome if each team and/or conference had their own perk in some sort of "other" category. Proximity to the beach, party schools, academics, alumni ties, etc. I know people in the Big 10 would disagree, but I think it'd be awesome if on very rare occasions a top 10 recruit turned down North Carolina in favor of Harvard because of academic preferences.

We could get those silly *** HBD-type messages:

Bro, I knows you team is phat but it damn cold up in Ohio. I needs some beaches, hot babes in bikinis and sunshine!

That reminds me more of recruiting messages in GD than anything I've received in HBD. Not sure if they still send those, but the GD ones used to be awful.

what the hell is 3.0? also, screw whoever called new HD 2.0. its like 5.0. some folks who still play should spent like a month arguing about the proper numbering, in true HD spirit. its tough because early HD probably should be split but it was more incremental change for a while, i guess. like to me lp/per being one rating, that would be so different, but if that was split on its own, that's not really enough for a major version. AFAIK there was MUCH change from the beginning over the first few years, but more staggered than in a huge release (except a complete website interface overhaul, which doesn't really count), so maybe like:
1.0 - the entire time from launch until Fox took over and incremental change largely slowed, up to admin's major potential release
2.0 - potential era
3.0 - i forget but whatever was like 4 years after potential. press got totally ******, fouling went insane, bigs shot in the 60s, then seble sort of fixed it.. what was that again? the one where seble wrecked d1 recruit generation. what was the point of that? man i can't believe i can't remember. whatever it was, it seemed like a big deal at the time.
4.0 - 6-month ago HD
5.0 - whatever the hell you guys are calling 3.0

I prefer nuHD

I was trying to delete the thread, but obviously failed in that attempt.

Although, I stand by my original post, I felt there is nothing to be gained by posting one's opinion on the forums. If you disagree with someone, or a group of people, you are automatically presumed to be an idiot.

And no MikeT, there was no alcohol involved. I'm just amazed you're so opinionated on several different topics for someone that has taken a 10 year hiatus and has less than 800 games under your belt, which is basically equivalent to one or two steps above an entry level position at McDonalds.

I could argue several ways that seble screwed this game up, but then again what would it accomplish, which is why the posts were removed.

Opinions are like ********, everyone has one. While I may have opinions, you don't see me throwing out HD advice. One doesn't have to know the ins and outs of the new version to have an opinion. I despised recruiting 10 years ago, I'm OK with it now. That's an opinion and a fact. Not sure why you have a problem with that. Now would you like to supersize your Unhappy meal, sir?

Did you lose your job a month ago Mike and suddenly have all this spare time on your hands? Certainly you have something better to do than troll these forums.

"One doesn't have to know the ins and outs of the new version to have an opinion"

Noteworthy.

Look at my post count, mully. I've been around, and active, for a long time. And I don't really care if people like my opinion.

mamxet, do you have an opinion on the Trump Presidency or what was the potential Hillary Presidency? I'm sure you do because everyone does. Do you know anything about either Presidency? Of course not. They haven't happened. Look up "opinion". You might be surprised at the meaning.

Finally, this is the most stick-up-the-*** forum since the old school SLB forum. This is funny: Now would you like to supersize your Unhappy meal, sir? and you clowns are yakking about trolls and the meaning of words(some of which maxmet doesn't understand). Lighten up. I didn't even say anything untoward thewiz. I simply suggested that most midnight complainers don't leave.

Mike - that was just the point I hoped you would make - because in another thread you demanded a link for what was obviously an opinion.

your hypocrisy about this is annoying but you have every right to be a hypocrite. And you - and I - each have the right to our opinions. Some opinions are based on experience or thoughtful analysis. Some are not.

In my opinion, some of what you say is very wise and thoughtful

but the reflexive defense of seble's work - good, bad and incomplete - is tiresome. And the personal attacks diminish the credibility of your opinions.

The demand for a "link" is just internet silliness. I'll stand by my statement that what you posted came off as "fact" when it wasn't. Again, real n00bs read these threads. One of the things I've always said in the HBD forums is that one needs to look at the poster's experience to judge his post. You have 360 seasons. I'd trust you know the game. And, when you say the update is 2/3 finished, it seems "real". You and I both know it isn't.

I'm not defending seble's work. I wouldn't even know who seble is/was if not for the constant usage of the name. However, I have defended the game. It is what it is. For me, I like it better than the game I quit in 2006. I'd like users to stay and/or join.

Honestly, I know a little about personal attacks. I don't recall doing that in this forum. Maybe I have. Maybe our definition of a personal attack is different. I certainly don't think I did it in this thread. But I can find a post where I was called an entry level McDonald's worker and a troll. Would you consider those personal?
12/13/2016 9:49 AM
I agree. McDonalds and troll attacks were not appropriate.
12/13/2016 9:55 AM
It's the internet. Doesn't bother me but I was just pointing them out to see if our definition of "personal attack" was somewhat similar.

I just left Mcdondal's in October and am looking to move up and work less now when I move again in May or June.
