Maryland's defeat was a shocker.
Your Penn St team taking out Syracuse was a shocker too.
Coaching Snafu... It does have an impact. I planned the gane, but against FSU, I did not find an optimal solution.
Not saying you aren't a good coach, but I think Syracuse wins that one 9 times out of 10. Cuse simply had far superior personnel. But like Gardiner-Webb upsetting Kentucky in 2007, these things happen every now and then.

I thought I saw you mentioning you might want to move up to a bigger program--if so Pittsburgh is open in the Big East and has a lot of strong underclassmen. Only two seniors so even with only getting crappy 2nd session recruits it wouldn't do much damage and you could easily fix things next year. Good recruiting location too--just far enough away from Nova, Cuse, and St John's that you could usually get all the western PA and WV 5 stars. Food for thought, you would be welcome addition the the Big East!

I am a big east fan, so I am hoping to move there.

Nice! I assume you are referring to the real Big East conference that was sadly destroyed a few years ago. Who was/is your team?

Wait, you liked Georgetown AND Cuse?

And I miss the old Big East as well. I went to the last (real) BE Tourney at the Garden when Cuse beat Gtown. Was so great.

I am a born and bread UConn guy - grew up in and came back to Storrs. I used to tutor the Men's team twice a week while I was working on my PhD. I despise Syracuse and Georgetown with every fiber of my body, but nonetheless respect them and miss the rivalries. I actually kind of like Nova--love what Wright has done with the program--despite when Kerry Kittles used to rain 3's on UConn like it was water. I came into the Big East in WIS at Nova with the intention of moving to UConn in the event that oldresorter ever retired. He did, but I like what I had built at Nova and couldn't bring myself to move.

My girlfriend was the math tutor for Duke Men basketball.

Where were you during the 6OT game?

I can't imagine being on the losing end of one of the greatest games of all time. Can't even enjoy how memorable it was.

For sure. EPIC game. McNamara was pure heart--fun to watch that kind of effort.

Well, only one non Big 6 team remains for the Final 4 - Weber State.

I think maybe you're thinking of a different game. McNamara played 03 to 07. The 6OT game was in 09

Or you're probably thinking of rautins. The other white guy who shot 3s at cuse. (Not cooney)

I still do not understand Weber State run. I don't know how Minnesota and others lost... If it was unreal speed in press, but it's not. If it was passing gods, it's not. Goofy did a heck of a job but he struggled against SSU during conf games..

I am definitely conflating with the 2006 run where McNamara took over the city for 4 days. Thanks

Went streaking after that game. In march. In new York. At 2pm.
