3.0 made it less convenient, still chat, but generally less - unfortunate

also, loss of conference $$ removed a common interest - one used tp have more of an actual interest in the success of other conference teams

That is true, I still want my conference mates to succeed during the season for RPI and seeding reasons, but I don't really care in the NT, besides bragging rights over other conferences. It would do wonders to the conferences to bring back a little more reward than a "Strong Conference" preference. Maybe like 100$ per win, most conferences won't see anything huge or noticeable, but a really good season would bring some excitement and benifits to a conference.

That might also bring some of the power conferences back to conferences that are geographically close, like my NJAC conference where everyone is in NJ. All of the big players left after 3.0 except for me and a_in_the_b, and I think part of it was due to the loss of good conference benefits.

Used to chat within all the Worlds I played in, and struck up some pretty good conversations. They ruined Chat by taking it off the Conference Standings page.

yeah add me to the chorus of disliking the conf chat in HD3.

the way it's designed is unwieldy. in addition to the issue of accidental posts in your own conference (happens all the time--they could at least have the link to the chat go to whatever standings page you're on!), having the separate page diminishes casual conversation a bit since you have to seek it out a bit more. this contributes to a lessened social aspect of HD3 overall, which i think depresses peoples investment in the game a bit. it's a really minor thing in the grand scheme, but whatever. that's my opinion anyway.

the lack of edit/delete is something that was brought up many times in HD2 as well and was never implemented.

Ugh! And I try to keep things moving in conf chat, but it always feels like I'm the only one yaaking! Shhhhhhhiiiooooottttt......I'll even chat about the weather if I have to.

Weather in SoCal is HOT and Humid. No dry heat to be seen.
