interesting idea - as a matter of gameplay there is always the question how many "turns" one allows or embeds - like the reciprocal move would be "attack weak defender" - pick a guy on the other team who you want to attack whenever you have the ball

I really like the cycle per half. Since it's all fantasy, two a day worlds could be exempt but 1st half at 2 AM and 2nd half at 2 PM in the one a days would be a huge upgrade in my opinion. And there really should be no "But people who can check in more frequently will have a decided advantage" nonsense. One could check in for 2nd half adjustments while drinking their morning coffee.

I agree. Allowing us to make our own halftime adjustments was one of the features of GD that I liked. Seems like it would be easy to do in HD and would be a YUUGE improvement.
