Would you not play real life Lorenzo Cain in CF either?

Prieto has 3 minus plays in 30 games at CF. That puts him at 16 minus plays per 162 games which is definitely costing you wins especially since he's only okay at the plate.

Everybody runs there teams differently on this game and that's what makes it fun, so play him where ever you feel is best for your team, but CF is personally one place where I will give up offense to make sure I have a good defender.

Just having speed doesn’t make him a good center fielder. His range isn’t good for CF and neither is his glove. Real life is different then this game.

Again, Prieto is not my plan “A” in CF. My starting CF won the Gold Glove this year, but does not hit. So, yeah, I’m cool for sacrificing offense for defense. But he’s OFS. Defensive metrics are questionable, but using what we have available to us: Lorenzo Cain - .981 f%/ 2.28 RF. Wilmer Prieto - .981/ 2.88. Offensively, Cain .813 OPS / 30 SB 7 CS. Prieto - .816 / 53 & 2. I’d say they’re a comp, advantage Prieto. If your starting CF goes down for the year & you can replace him with Lorenzo Cain, wouldn’t you?

Be honest with you, I'm stunned you got that much offensive production out of him. His ratings flat out don't support them. Defensive returns are what I expected.

I’m also stunned. Cain is a borderline all-star. This guy is not.

Id look for a better option in left over free agency, trade, waiver wire on in my minors. I have no idea how he has a .800 ops. Id expect .700 at best with mediocre at best fielding at 3rd. Good fielding in rf,lf and 1st. But to each his own. Nothing negative just input.

I get that. And I appreciate the input very much. I got a little excessive, I think, in my protection of Wilmer. Internally, I reacted to the criticism of him as if you all were trashing my mom. Over a fake player! I think i need professional help. That being said, with the injuries I suffered this year at the critical positions of SS and CF, I don't think I would have won my division without Wilmer. Wilmer, I still love ya man.
